Plucks captain’s day

The highlight of Plucks Golf Society season takes place this Saturday as its Gerry ‘Squirrel’ Tuohy Captains Day. The outing takes place at Midday in Gowran Park GC this Saturday (second) and all members are urged to be present on the Tee-box for Gerry’s Opening Drive (No pressure there Gerry).

The draw took place on Sunday night in Plucks and is as follows (1) Gerry Tuohy, Tom Creavin and John Lyster (2) Chris O’Neill, Colm Griffiths and Shay Quinn (3) Greg O’Donnell, Mick Holly and Jim Messitt (4) Brendan Finnerty, Liam Finnerty, Jim McGrath and Ed Mulligan (5) Trevor Carr, Eddie Byrne, Kevin Molloy and Paul Murphy (6) Mark Quinn, Paddy Byrne Snr, Paddy Byrne Jnr and Tom Byrne.

The presentation of prizes will take place in the River Court Hotel in Kilkenny preceeding the Captains Dinner. Gerry has been a dedicated member of the society for many years and we would like to wish him a great Captains Day (and night), Good man ‘Squirrel’.
