Divina Group will resume in September; Bray Gathering Charismati­c Prayer Group in the Little Flower Hall, Wednesday at 8 p.m.; Silent Holy Hour in the Side Chapel on Friday from 11 a.m. to midday; Taizé style Holy Hour will recommence in the autumn.

Mass Cards: Signed Mass Cards are looked after by the priests of the parish and are available only in the parish office or in the Sacristy.

Side Chapel Mass: The side Chapel Mass group will return at 10.30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, September 10, This group is for families with small children.

RCIA: The RCIA, which stands for Rite of Christian Initiation of adults, is a process through which non-baptised men and women enter the Catholic Church. It is also for those baptised in a different faith tradition who wish to become Catholic, or baptised Catholic, but never confirmed.

The RCIA process follows the ancient practice of the church and was restored by the Second Vatican Council as the normal way adults prepare for baptism and confirmati­on. For anyone interested in finding out more about RCIA, please contact the parish office and leave your name and phone number and Fr Enda will contact you.

Divine Mercy Mass: A Divine Mercy Mass will take place this Friday at 8 p.m. in our Church.

Lourdes Pilgrimage: A petition box and a book are in place at the Altar. These petitions will be presented to our Lady at the Grotto for all your intentions. Please do not put money in the envelopes or petition box. A meeting will take place tonight (Wednesday) in the Villa at 8 p.m. for all those travelling to Lourdes.

Church gate collection: The church gate collection this weekend is in aid of our local conference of St Vincent de Paul. The collection for August amounted to €1,040. Thank you for your continued support.

Sa Bhaile Collection: €1478.19 was raised in the recent weekend collection for Sa Bhaile, the Bray homeless charity. Your generosity is greatly appreciate­d.

Hospitalit­y: Hospitalit­y this Sunday August is hosted by Team D.

Welcome to Eucharisti­c Adoration: We invite you to commit to one hour per week. If you currently attend but are not signed up, we would encourage you to become part of the official rota as we need to ensure that each hour is covered. Signing up is easy. There are cards and informatio­n at the special display at the back of the church. Please fill in one of the cards and leave it in the box provided.

St Vincent de Paul – annual Clothing Appeal: We are seeking clean, good quality clothes, bedclothes, curtains, shoes etc. Clear plastic bags will be distribute­d after all Masses this weekend. Filled bags should be left in the church porch on Saturday, September 9, after the 6.30 p.m. Vigil Mass and after the 10.30 a.m. and midday Masses only on Sunday, September 10,.

Please do not leave bags after these times as they will not be collected. The society would like to thank you all most sincerely for your support.

Memorial Plates: It has been a long church tradition to have a plate fitted to a seat in memory of a loved one. Full details regarding such plates are available from the parish office. (€250 donation towards the running costs of our Church).

Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish dinner dance: Takes place in Bray Golf Club on Friday, October 20, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets €25 are available from Villa Pacis or after 10.30 a.m. Mass on Sundays.

Christian Mothers: Meetings will resume next Tuesday (September 5) (time to be confirmed) in the Parish Hall. The Christian Mothers have been active in the parish for many years. The meeting consists of a short prayer session followed by tea and a chat. We would very much welcome any mothers who would like to participat­e in the group. Baptisms: First and third Saturday of each month at midday. Three week’s notice before the preparatio­n meeting is required. Preparatio­n meeting is normally held on the Monday before the First Saturday Sacrament.

Society of Vincent de Paul Clothing Appeal: The society of St Vincent de Paul is seeking your help in its annual Clothing Appeal in this parish. The Appeal is for clean, good-quality clothes, bedclothes, curtains, shoes etc. There are bags available outside the church. The society will collect the bags outside the church next Saturday vigil Mass and Sunday Morning Masses. Distributi­on of bags: This Saturday and Sunday. CUALANN SOCIETY

The Bray Cualann Historical Society the local history society for Bray and North Wicklow, concluded its Heritage Week 2017 programme of talks and walks last Sunday with a booked to capacity talk by Brian White in Kilrudery House, Bray, at 3 p.m. on Sunday on ‘Trains, Planes, Automobile­s, and Family Stories from Kilruddery.’

The previous day upwards of 50 people took part in the 90-minute 3 p.m. ‘Killarney Road Walking Tour’ led by Brian White which departed from Bray Town Hall. Monthly meetings of the society will resume on September 21 in the Royal Hotel, Bray when the Society’s autumn programme will commence with lecture by Neale Doherty on ‘The Streets of Dublin’ – all welcome; admission visitors/ non-members €5.
