‘DON’T TREAT DARGLE LIKE A DUMP’
River bed was covered in junk
APPEALS HAVE been made to people to stop dumping junk into the Dargle. During a recent river clean-up, the Coastcare group took traffic cones, push-scooters and hundreds of bottles and cans from the river bed, the volunteers narrowly avoiding rats as they waded into the river. ‘If you see a traffic cone, please leave it where it is,’ said Coastcare chairman Séamus Connor.
