Vintage club launches ninth Original Garden of Ireland Run

-

BRAY VINTAGE Car Club members and friends are polishing up their precious possessions ahead of the annual ‘Original Garden of Ireland Run’ later this month.

All cars will be gleaming by the time the ninth edition of this popular run takes place over the weekend of September 23 and 24. The weekend involves a run on Saturday followed by a car show on Sunday.

Cars are expected to travel from all over Ireland to take part in the run, which takes in some of the most scenic areas of Co Wicklow and will begin and end at the Woodenbridge Hotel in Avoca.

The vintage and classic car show will take place from noon at Coffee Delights, Southern Cross, in Bray. It is open to all vehicles and includes the original Wicklow NI registration gathering. Everyone is welcome to come along to this family fun day featuring music, a raffle and lots of fabulous vehicles from yesteryear.

All proceeds from this Bray Vintage Car Club weekend will go to COPD Support Ireland, a charity that helps people with breathing difficulties. A local COPD support group meets every week in Bray – details can be found at www.copd.ie.
