Schools and businesses in Bray are being given a great opportunity to learn about responsible pet ownership for free as part of a unique Back to School initiative which has been organised by the Maxi Zoo Ireland.

The company has appointed a dedicated education officer to visit any local school or business that is interested in hosting a workshop to treat its students or employees to a fun lesson about all they need to know to provide the best care for their pet.

Maxi Zoo’s education officer will provide those attending the workshops with an informative insight into the subject of pet nutrition and the importance of health, exercise, stimulation and providing a safe environment for their pet. Students and employees attending the workshops can also pick up expert tips on how to help their pet to behave socially so that their pet feels comfortable when outside of the home. They will also learn how to read the signs for when their pet needs their own space. The workshop will also provide a valuable insight into the legislation governing pet ownership, including the Pet Safety & Protection Act and the Dangerous Dog Act, with information on why it is necessary to have a dog licence and why they need to obtain a pet passport if they plan to travel abroad. Schools and businesses interested in hosting the free workshops are invited to contact Maxi Zoo via email at: mzcontactform@gmail. com to arrange a talk at a time that it is convenient to them. Maxi Zoo has also organised an instore event to help all pet parents to ensure that they always make the right choice when it comes to nutrition, bedding and dog crates. The event takes place at the store at Bray Retail Park all day, every day throughout September.
