Soccer returns

The season started last weekend for some of the Glencormac United Junior teams. The under-12s had a very impressive home win over Greystones, winning 4-0. Michael Prendergast hit two while Luke Honan and Billy Mansfield also found the net in a great team display. The under-14s faced an impossible task when they travelled to Arklow to face the all-conquering Arklow Celtic side, losing out on an 8-1 score with Jamie Shanahan netting the goal. Despite the defeat, manager Karl Bradshaw was delighted with the never say die attitude of the team and there will be easier tasks than this one ahead it is hoped in this premier league. The seniors start back this Sunday at 1-30 at home to Greystones, please give them your support.
