National club draw tickets

-

WICKLOW GAA treasurer Colm Finnegan informed club delegates that the tickets for the national club draw were now available in the Centre of Excellence in Ballinakill and that clubs should avail of what can be a very profitable venture for those clubs who put in the hard work.

“We just got notification last week that the tickets are out for the draw, this is the third draw of its kind,” said Colm.

“You may recall that the tickets are €10 each and the prizes are put up by Central Council. The first prize is a Renault Dynamic and there are plenty of other prizes. There’s a maximum of 2,000 tickets per club so there’s the potential to raise €20,000 for your club. The tickets are all here in Ballinakill and if you want to sign for them tonight, you can.

“The clubs can sell them at whatever time suits the club taking into consideration any other fundraising that might be going on within a club. The draw itself will be on March 8.

“It’s a good opportunity for clubs to raise funds. Last year one club sold about 700 tickets. It’s not obligatory. Some take it up, some don’t, I think it’s a no-brainer,” he added.
