Services of Worship for Sunday, September 10 – Trinity 13: 8.30 a.m. – Holy Communion Two; 11 a.m. – Morning Prayer. No Evening Service.

Mothers’ Union: This coming Monday, a Mother’s Union Service takes place at 8 p.m. All very welcome.

HOLY REDEEMER PARISH

Side Chapel Mass: The side Chapel Mass group will return at 10.30 a.m. Mass this Sunday. This group is for families with small children.

Evening Mass: There will be no 7 p.m. evening Mass this week. There will, however, be a Liturgy till Friday at 7 p.m.

The Coffee Dock: The weekday Coffee Dock reopened last Monday after the 10 a.m. Mass. New volunteers are needed so if you have some free time and would like to help out please contact Philippa at 087 1442969.

Important Notice for all Group Leaders Regarding Garda Vetting: Some of you will have already received your invitation to Garda Vetting for 017. For those groups still awaiting forms you can expect to receive them in the coming weeks as we roll out this important requiremen­t for the children and Vulnerable Persons Acts 2012 and 2016.

All Parish Groups must renew their Garda Vetting which will now only last for three years. If you are a group leader and wish to begin the vetting process for your group now, please contact the parish office and this will be arranged for you. Completed invitation applicatio­ns are then forwarded to the National Vetting Bureau (NVB). Applicants will then receive an email from them with an online applicatio­n form – NVB two.

If you do not complete this form within 30 days it becomes invalid and you will have to re-apply. If you have any questions with regard the process – please call in to the parish office Monday to Friday 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

ST PETER’S PARISH

St Vincent de Paul – annual Clothing Appeal: We are seeking clean, good quality clothes, bedclothes, curtains, shoes etc. Filled bags should be left in the church porch this Sunday after both Masses. Please do not leave bags after these times as they will not be collected. The society would like to thank you all most sincerely for your support.

SVdP: Drop off point for post for the St Vincent de Paul is situated at St Peter’s Parish Bungalow Chapel Lane. If you need to contact the SVP please call 01 855 0022.

Used Stamp Collection: Please drop in any of your used stamps into the parish office. They are a great source of income for the missions. Thank you to all who have left their used stamps into the parish office to date.

Young at Heart Dinners: Will resume on Friday, September 15, at 12.30 p.m. Come along and enjoy great food and a game of bingo.

Wicklow Dementia Support: St Peter’s Parish Hall every Monday from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Monday Club is a social club for people with memory loss and their family carers. Support activities, fun and outings. For more informatio­n contact 089 4286928.

Society of Vincent de Paul Clothing Appeal: The society of St Vincent de Paul is seeking your help in its annual Clothing Appeal in this parish. The Appeal is for clean, good-quality clothes, bedclothes, curtains, shoes etc. The society will collect the bags outside the church at this Saturdays Vigil Mass and Sunday Morning Masses.

St Fergal’s Gospel Choir: St Fergal’s Gospel Choir are looking for a musician, and for new members. Gospel music is uplifting and inspiring. So, if you are interested in joining the group, please leave your contact details at the parish office. Many Thanks.

Parish Cake Sale and Raffle: The recent Cake Sale and raffle amounted to €802. Thank you for your generosity.

Prayer Vigil at St Fergal’s Church, Ballywaltr­im, Bray: A prayer vigil will be offered for all parishione­rs in the Bray/Enniskerry Pastoral Area, who may be ill, undergoing surgery or awaiting surgery. If you currently attend but are not signed up, we would encourage you to become part of the official rota as we need to ensure that each hour is covered. Signing up is easy. QOP YOUTH CLUB

Members of the Queen of Peace Adventure Youth Club have had great continuity of water sports and above their average number of trips during the season and this will hopefully continue till the end of the month when the winter programme will commence. Thanks is due to the many voluntary leaders, and to parents who assisted when needed.

DIVING CLUB

Due to lack of north or east winds underwater visibility has been excellent during the last few weeks. Bray Divers have taken advantage of this by organising night dives in Greystones. They are glad to note that the nocturnal creatures are flourishin­g well as observed on the three dives undertaken.

CUALANN SOCIETY

The Bray Cualann Historical Society the local history society for Bray and North Wicklow, will commence its autumn programme on Thursday, September 21, in the Royal Hotel, Main Street, Bray, with a lecture by author and historian Neal Doherty on ‘The Streets of Dublin.’ All welcome – members free – visitors €5.

In the meantime which may be of interest to members include next Tuesdays 8 p.m. lecture by Brian White on ‘Residents of the Killarney Road, Bray’ to the Genealogic­al Society of Ireland in Dun Laoghaire Further Education Institute, Cumberland Street Dun Laoghaire – all welcome;
