Annacurra GAA It was with great sadness that we learned of passing of our club president Ned Doyle. Ned was a club stalwart for many years and captained the team to an intermediate title in 1953 from wingback in their defeat of Baltinglass.
This is only one of many things we could say about this man. Currently, several of ned’s grandchildren continue his legacy representing the club from adult level down to juvenile.
The club extends our deepest sympathy to the doyle family and all concerned.
GAA LOTTO
No winner in this week’s lotto jackpot; numbers 1, 2, 17 and 28; two match-three winners: Jimmy Byrne, Coolahullen; Marty Winterbottom c/o postoffice. Next week’s jackpot €7,600.
JUVENILE GAA
Our juveniles all had great wins during the week but unfortunately our seniors didn’t have the same luck and our championship run came to an end after our replay against Rathnew ended in defeat.
Hard luck guys you did our village and jersey proud.
