Teenager is arrested after break-ins to around thirty cars in Greystones

A TEENAGER has arrested following break-ins to around 30 cars and the attempted robbery of a jewellery store in Greystones last week.

A boy was arrested at the scene of the attempted break-in at AMOC jewellers on the main street and is expected to appear before the courts.

Cars were broken into in The Burnaby, Hillside and Heathervue. Any valuables left in the vehicles were taken.

This all occurred late on Monday, September 4, and early on Tuesday, September 5.

Gardaí area appealing for anyone to come forward who may have seen anyone acting suspicious­ly around the town during those hours.

Garda Declan Lynch of Bray Garda Station urged people to avoid leaving valuables in their vehicles.

Separately, the window of a car parked at Charleslan­d was smashed on Wednesday, September 6.
