Lakers seeking 25 people for walk

LAKERS Social and Recreation Club is looking for 25 volunteers to take part in its spectacular fundraising walking challenge next year.

The challenge will take place in the Veneto Region of Italy from Saturday, October 6, to Saturday, October 13, 2018, and will include the stunning Lake Garda, Venice and Verona.

Lakers is a sports, social and recreation club for children and adults with an intellectual disability aged from five to 75. Members develop their skills and abilities through a range of activities such as sport, drama, cookery and arts and crafts. The teamwork and interaction with other people in these activities promotes the development of social skills, self-confidence and self-esteem.

The club is currently looking for 25 walkers of all capabilities to join it to raise funds for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
