SEMI-FINAL

Avondale now take on Blessington in the Ranault Senior football championship semi-final after the Blues defeated fancied St Patrick’s in their quarter-final.

Avondale will need to be on the very top of their game to seal a final spot but there is no challenge too big for the Dales.

They will do well at midfield you would expect with Barry Sheehan and Padraig Geoghegan likely to break even.

Their difficulties will be scoring and handling the Blessington attack.
