Yoga Classes start again Thursday, September 14, 10.30 a.m. to midday in the new Newcastle Parish Hall. These classes are suitable for beginners as well as experience­d students alike. Everyone is welcome. Cost: €170/€165 for 12 weeks or €16 drop in. Special rates are offered for anyone recovering or suffering from an illness. GAA LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner last week in the lotto, the numbers were 1, 5, 6 and 25 there were seven match-three winners on the night, each receiving €30. the next jackpot draw is $5,000 and takes place on Monday, September 11, in the Castle Inn.

TYING THE KNOT

There was two big weddings last week in Newcastle. Paul Magee and Clare Cawley, and Deirdre Cloake and Owen Thomas both got married. Congratula­tions to both couples, we wish you all the happiness and good fortune in the future.

NEWCASTLE DUATHLON

It’s that time of year again, timne to dust off the runners and take the bike out of the shed. The Newcastle Duathlon takes place on Saturday, October 7, music and finger food in the castle inn after. Be there or be a big loser.

CASTLE INN

MY CANINE COMPANION – There is a fundraiser night in aid of Autism Service Dogs Ireland on Saturday, September 30, upstairs in the Castle Inn Newcastle. There will be music from ‘The Cazettes’ and ‘Before the after’ on the night, there will be a Mega Raffle on the night and special guests including Paddy ‘The Hooligan Holohan’ former UFC star. All proceeds go towards the training of an Autism assitance dog for a local child through the charity ‘My Canine Companion’

The Restaurant is open Saturday, September 30. There will be music in the lounge after from Steve Belton ex Guitarist from Cry Before Dawn.
