Wesley to take a leap of faith to help LauraLynn

-

YOUNG Bray man Wesley Maher from Boghall Road is raising money for the Laura Lynn Foundation by jumping out of a plane from 10,000 ft in Kilkenny, October 6.

Wesley’s mother Trisha reached out to David Devine of Platinum Financial Planning, who has decided to sponsor Wesley to help raise much-needed funds.

‘We have just about reached our target of €480 to do the sky dive, but we hope to exceed this because all proceeds will be donated to the foundation and it would be a great boost,’ said David, the owner of Platinum Financial.

David, who would not normally sponsor such events, said he decided to do this as he was a young, local man raising money for a great charity.

This is not the first time Wesley has done a generous act like this, as for the past three years he has been gathering money for other charities too.

‘I have done Hell and Back for Crumlin Hospital, and two Fire Walks for CDKL5. This will be my first sky dive and I am excited more than anything,’ said Wesley, who is 21-years old.

If people would like to donate towards the Laura Lynn Foundation, they can visit Platinum Financial Planning Facebook page.
