Blessingto­n brothers are hot favourites to win the X Factor

TWO Blessingto­n brothers who honed their talents busking on Grafton Street could be the next big thing after wowing the Judges on this year’s X Factor.

The audition of Sean and Conor Price, aged 17 and 15, for X Factor was aired over the weekend and a video of the lads performing Bob Dylan’s ‘All Along the Watchtower’ has already had over well over one million views.

They added their own little twist to the Dylan song, with Sean inserting some raps into the performanc­e while still strumming away on his guitar.

Simon Cowell isn’t exactly renowned for lavishing praise on the acts who appear on the show but there was no containing his admiration for Sean and Conor.

‘It is probably one of the best auditions we have ever had. I don’t want to change a single thing. If somebody does try to do that, come and talk to me. Every so often, I sit on these auditions and think ‘ thank God we find people like you’ said a clearly impressed Cowell.

Fellow judge and former Pussycat Doll, Nicole Scherzinge­r was also effusive in her praise of the pair.

‘Your voice, Conor, is amazing. And you’re 17, Sean. I feel your voice complement­s it so well. The X Factor is having the It Factor. Awesome. You’re giving my goosebumps goosebumps.’

Louis Walsh had already hinted that the brothers might be worth watching out fr after an appearance on RTE chat show ‘Miriam’ last month.

‘ They’re really good. They’re buskers. They play on Grafton Street... They’re amazing.’

Sean and Conor attend Naas CBS and even prior to appearing on the X Factor, had already amassed a following of 12,000 on Facebook. The most recent tweet from the brothers references the amount of people who have watched their audition. ‘One Million! Thank you to every single person who has viewed our audition. This is mind blowing.’

According to BoyleSport­s yesterday (Tuesday), the boys are already 4/1 joint favourites to win this year’s competitio­n.
