Six schools send teams to compete in popular league
WE’RE BACK!
Boys’ Allianz Hurling League - As a new year of school begins, so does the Cumann na mBunscol calendar of events.
The Allianz Boys’ Hurling League was the opening fixture of the year. Bray Emmets GAA Club played host to six different schools with eight teams in total attending: St. Cronans 1 and 2, St Pats 1 and 2, Kilcoole PS, St Laurences, Newtown PS and Scoil Chualann.
Each team played four games on a bright but blustery day. Participation was the focus of the day with points being the only way to score. This lead to some exceptional scores that even the great Joe Canning would be proud of.
Day 2 takes place on September 27 in Bray Emmets GAA Club. Many thanks to Bray Emmets GAA Club for their continued support of Allianz Cumann na mBunscol fixtures.
Day 2 - Wednesday, September 27, time: 11.45am - 1.30pm (approx) at Bray Emmets GAA Club.
Rules: Full rules apply. There is no age limit on the children who are participating.
Games will be nine-a-side. The focus is on participation and giving as many children as possible the experience of playing hurling, regardless of experience.
