Great list of live acts in Newtownmountkennedy

AFTER a hugely successful inaugural event last year, Parkfest was back with a bang in Newtownmountkennedy recently.

Organisers worked hard to top the 2016 event, which featured a headline performance by The Felonies and a special guest appearance by Hozier, and their efforts certainly paid off as the festival lived up to all expectations.

Parkfest is a community-run event for people of all ages but is specifically aimed at young adults from Newtown and its surrounding communities.

This year’s line-up included the return of The Felonies. Other acts to take to the stage included Rogue, Sub-Motion, Kandce, Inhaler and Retrofix. The main stage area was located in the park beside the Parkview Hotel, while a second stage alternated between the Mountkennedy Inn and the Druid’s Well. Held in association with Guerilla Gigs, Parkfest was sponsored by Newtownmountkennedy Credit Union, The Mountkennedy Inn and the Druid’s Well.
