Residents AGM

-

The Rockfield Park, Carrigoona Close and Sugarloaf View and Crescent Residents Assc are holding their AGM in the Parish Hall on Monday, September 25, at 8 p.m. The present committee would like to see a good attendance to help plan for the remainder of 2017 and 20018. They have noticed in the last few years a lot of new residents have come into the area and they would like to get to know and welcome them officially.

The association is in existence a long time now as you will know and sadly, in that period they have lost some very dear friends who may be gone but certainly never forgotten. The committee aim to keep the estates free from rubbish and rubble and keep it safe for the children. In this regard, a special thanks goes to Mick Kenny and many will have seen poor Mick out all year round taken up litter each Saturday come Rain or Sunshine. Mick collects two to three sacks of rubbish each week in these four area’s which is sad but if it went unnoticed, imagine what it would look like after a few weeks, well done Mick.

The committee would also love to see some new young faces come on board also. A big thanks to everyone who contributes to the grass cutting of the various green area’s. This is a costly exercise but you can all be assured, every euro raised goes back into the upkeep of the area and this will be detailed in the treasurer Annmarie Hayes report.

Many people do a lot of voluntary work all year round also and it is all greatly appreciated by everyone in the area. The chairman of the Association Christy Devlin urges you all to come along on Monday the 25th at 8 p.m.
