SCOTTISH football is not the power-house it once was, as Celtic’s drubbing from PSG in the Champions League poitned to last week.

However the Hoops have a huge Irish following and they swept all before them last season to win a treble.

Their arch rivals Glasgow Rangers were back in the top flight for the first time following their humilation last season, but really never threatened their city neighbours.

This is the first old firm derby of the season with the league champions at home and already five points in front of their opponents after only six matches, while Aberdeen are their closest challengers two points behind the leaders.
