-

A 40-year-old man was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) in connection with the murder of Dublin woman Patricia O’Connor (60).

He was being detained at Bray Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. The man was arrested in the Dublin area yesterday morning.

Ms O’Connor’s dismembered remains were found in various mountainous locations in Enniskerry and Laragh on the evening of Saturday, June 10, and over the following days.

Another man has already been charged and has appeared before the courts in relation to Ms O’Connor’s death.

Kieran Green (32) with an address at Mountain View Park in Rathfarnham was previously charged with the murder and remanded in custody to appear again at Cloverhill District Court on September 28.

It is believed Ms O’Connor was killed some time between May 29 and May 30. She was reported missing on June 2. Her disappearance was not initially treated as suspicious.

The man in custody at Bray Garda Station could be held for a period of 24 hours, with further extensions available.
