Man couldn’t afford to pay for insurance

-

A man driving without insurance said that he didn’t have money at the time.

Robert Hammond (44), 14 Cois Cairn, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray, was driving at Main Street, Bray, on December 8, 2016, at 11.35. He had no tax or insurance.

The court heard that Hammond had previous convictions for having no insurance, speeding and no tax.

Hammond told the court he bought the car four or five weeks prior to being stopped and didn’t examine the discs.

Judge David Kennedy adjourned the matter to November 6 for a Community Service Report.
