Event held to support Tiglin
THERE was glitz and glamour at Whale Theatre in Greystones recently, with a charity event to raise money for Tiglin.
The show was headlined by singer-songwriter Luan Parle, who was fresh off her German tour to perform in Greystones.
Luan said that it was extra special for her to be able to perform to a local audience, being from Wicklow herself.
The evening also included a fashion extravaganza, styled by Joanne Costello from X Media, Delgany. The fashion show included Autumn/ Winter ‘17 collections from top Iriish designers and the best of Greystones boutiques.
Greystones man Reuben Evans, RTE presenter and entertainer, was also on-hand to entertain the guests. The night included music with the band Taken, and an appearance by DJ Steven Cooper.
Everyone went away with a fantastic goodie bag. All proceeds from the event will go to Tiglin who provide services to the homeless five days a week through their No Bucks Café which gives food, blankets, clothing and toiletries to those sleeping rough on the streets – they depend on the No Bucks Team for both emotional and physical support. Tiglin also offers support to those suffering from addiction problems and have centres in Ashford, Brittas Bay, Arklow and the Carraig Eden housing facility in Greystones.
