The late Barney York R.I.P.

The death has occurred of Barney (née Kelly) York of Birkenhead in the UK recently. Barney is survived by his daughter Lynn and son Seán and we extend our sympathies to them at this sad time.

Some of our older generation will recall Barney living in the Glen of the Downs and he played football with Kilmacanogue GAA Club before he moved to the UK in the early fifties. He will be sadly missed by all his old friends in the Kilmacanogue, Glen of the Downs and surrounding areas. Barney was laid to rest in Birkenhead UK last week, May he rest in peace.
