MAN IS RELEASED IN MURDER PROBE

A man who was arrested last week in connection with the murder of Patricia O’Connor was released the following day.

Gardaí in Bray said that the investigat­ion continues and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

The 40-year-old man was arrested in the Dublin area on the morning of Tuesday, September 26, in connection with the death.

He was detained at Bray Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Ms O’Connor’s dismembere­d remains were found in various mountainou­s lo- cations in Enniskerry and Laragh on the evening of Saturday, June 10 and over the following days.

Another man has already been charged and has appeared before the courts a number of times in relation to the investigat­ion.

Kieran Green, with an address at Mountain View Park in Rathfarnha­m, Dublin, faced his fifth hearing when he appeared again via video-link before Judge Victor Blake at Cloverhill District Court last Thursday. Judge Blake remanded Mr Green in continuing custody to appear again at the same court via video-link on October 26.
