Thief reached across child to steal purse from car

A thief reached across a child in a car to take a purse on Florence Road last Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred at around 5 p.m. on Monday, September 25. The child’s mother was collecting another child from music lessons and had momentarily left the vehicle.

A man in his 50s opened the passenger door and reached across to take the purse from the driver’s seat.

The child in the car was eight years old. The man fled the scene. He is described as being around 50 years old and wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans. He had tight grey hair and was skinny.
