RANGE OF WORKS DELGANY GOLF CLUB PUT OUT A CALL – AND GOT FINE SUBMISSIONS FROM ARTISTS OF ALL AGES. REPORTS ON THE SHOW
DELGANY GOLF Club curated a fine exhibition currently under way at the clubhouse, after putting out a call for submissions.
They invited artists of all ages and from beginners to experienced professionals to include their work.
The exhibition opened last Friday and will remain open until October 12.
The Australian Ambassador Richard Andrews did the honours of carrying out the official opening.
Most of the artists attended the event, which was a celebratory affair upstairs in the clubhouse, getting the exhibition off to an amazing start.
The show includes oils, watercolours, prints, photography and works in charcoal and pencil.
Some of the submissions include ‘Winter Walk’, by Yvonne O’Niell; ‘Bray Head’ by Barbara O’Gorman; ‘White Iris’ by Sheelagh Butler, and ‘Sugarloaf ’ by Johnny O’Brien.
Much of the work in the collection is inspired by the landscapes of Wicklow.
There is something for every taste and there’s great value for money to be found, and Christmas gifts to be sourced.
Artists agreed that the organisers have done a great job.
