THE HEROES UNITE!
Senior championship winners from 1992 celebrated
ST. PAT’S celebrated their 1992 Senior Hurling Jubilee in style with a fantastic night held in the clubhouse at Dunbur Park on Friday last.
It was great for all to catch up with former team mates and friends with people travelling from Wexford, Waterford, Laois and Dublin to make the night a great success.
While most of the players may have lost a yard of pace and some hair, thankfully their singing voices haven’t deteriorated at the same rate! Mick Hagan acted as MC on the night, while Chairman John Gill welcomed all.
Mick Hagan reflected on how the minor double in 1989 was the spring board for Senior success with a new crop of younger players coming through to join the current crop of established players at the time.
Tributes were paid to two former team mates George Johnson and John Casey who are no longer with us.
Other speakers on the night included captain Casey O’Brien and Nick Crennan on behalf of the management team.
A night of storytelling, reminiscing and craic took place, in to the early hours.
