The under-8s travelled to Arklow on Saturday for a blitz and had some excellent wins which delighted managers Mick Rooney and Paul Devlin.

The under-10s were beaten 4-1 away to Ashford. It was 1-1 at the break but the hosts really turned on the style after the break and ran out deserving winners. Best on the day for the Glens were Beibhinn Lavery, John McEllihenry, Joe Kavanagh and Jude Leahy.

The 11s travelled to face a good Wolfe Tone team who had a deserving 8-2 victory. This was not the Glens best days and every mistake was punished but manager Alan Condon remains positive of better performances to come from this team.

The under-12s faced Wicklow Rovers and had a very impressive 7-2 win. The game featured three goals for Luke Honan, two for Michael Prendergast and two for Conor O’Donnell. Super performance by everyone and thanks to Seán Mooney for giving the team a help on the day.

The under-14s were at home to Arklow Celtic and drew 1-1 with Adam Dutton netting the vital equaliser. What a difference three-week makes because, after been well beaten by the same team 8-1 a few weeks ago, they bounced back in style. The Glens were on top for most of the first half but got caught just before half time to go into the break trailing 1-0 but instead of dropping the heads and falling apart against the premier division champions, they lifted their game even more in the second half and got a well-deserved equalizer through Adam and probably could of even went on to win it but every single player was fantastic on the day and done the club proud with that performance.

The senior team were at home to St Pat’s of Avoca and won a tough game 5-3. The Glens trailed from an early goal but hit back via Ian Devlins first goal in a year after a long lay off. St Pat’s scored again before the break to leave it 1-2 at the interval. However, the Glens were a different team in the second period and responded with goals from Luke O’Callaghan, a Sam O’Callaghan Free Kick Special and two from Nathan Watters before St Pat’s got a late consolation. Ben O’Callaghan and Gabor Radoczy were superb in a great team win.
