Children get moving during Active Week

-

PUPILS at St Fergal’s National School got into the fit spirit with their ‘Active Week’.

There were a range of activities at the school for the duration of the week, all with the purpose of getting fit and having fun.

The children enjoyed sports, exercises, dancing, and even a conga-line.

The Active School Week initiative is encour- aged by the Department of Education and children can earn an active schools flag for their school.

The week is about providing fun and inclusive physical activity for everyone at school.

It allows schools to reinforce the message that not only is physical activity good for you but it also very enjoyable.
