ART IS CAPTURED ON CAMERA

CLUB’S PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION UNDER WAY

-

GREYSTONES Camera Club is hosting an exhibition of its members’ work this week, with almost every member exhibiting images at the show.

The exhibition is on until Saturday, October 14 at the Hillside Evangelical Church on Hillside Road and the official launch took place there last night (Tuesday).

The daily opening hours are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the duration of the exhibition.

Members meet on Thursday evenings. Most Thursdays they can be found at the Hillside Evangelical Church Hall.

They have room there for studio setups, practical photography sessions, great areas for guest speakers and a kitchen for their weekly tea and cakes.

About once a month they go on location. For example, they recently held a light painting shoot in Lady’s Cove in Greystones.

Members get to hone their photography skills, they get to be part of a group who all share a common passion for photography and to share knowledge and experience while having fun.

The club participates in Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) accreditations, helping their members gain distinctions at all levels as well as competing in National Competitions. They run competitions and throughout the year they organise days out and weekends away.

Membership is currently closed but will re-open in January. To express an interest in joining attend the exhibition or send an email to info@greystonescameraclub.ie.
