HOLY REDEEMER PARISH

A Mass of Thanksgivi­ng with Renewal of Vows This Sunday: Were you Married In 1992,1977,1967,1957 or 1947? You are invited to join the Parish Community of Holy Redeemer Bray at a Mass of Thanksgivi­ng this coming Sunday at midday as we celebrate with those who are marking Silver, Ruby, Golden, Diamond and Platinum Wedding Anniversar­ies. Refreshmen­ts will be offered afterwards in the Little Flower Hall.

St Vincent de Paul Society: The sum raised by the church gate collection for the St Vincent de Paul Society last Sunday week amounted to €1,785. Many thanks to you all for your continued support.

Habitat For Humanity: Habitat for Humanity, who held a church gate collection during the summer months in Holy Redeemer wish to extend their deepest appreciati­on for your support.

Their team built three houses during their two weeks in Zambia, employing local profession­al builders who worked alongside them for the duration of the build. Thank you to all who contribute­d.

Table quiz: A table quiz in aid of the National Council for the Blind takes place on Thursday, October 19, at 8 p.m. in the Wild Goose. €150 top prize on the night, with a chance to win €3,000 at the final in December. Contact Patricia at 087 1394350 to register.

Altar List of the Dead – Envelopes and Sheets: Altar list of the dead envelopes and sheets are available at the back of the church. All, whose names are listed will be remembered at Masses on the feast of All Saints, the feast of All Souls, and at the 9.30 a.m. Mass on the First Monday of each month throughout the year. On Tuesday, November 14, at 7.30 p.m. we will remember all of our parishione­rs who have died during the past year.

Irish Countrywom­en’s Associatio­n – Ballymorri­s/Bray Guild:. Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish dinner dance: Takes place in Bray Golf Club on Friday, October 20, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets €25 are available from Villa Pacis or after 10.30 a.m. Mass on Sundays.

Welcome to Eucharisti­c Adoration: We invite you to commit to one hour per week. If you currently attend but are not signed up, we would encourage you to become part of the official rota as we need to ensure that each hour is covered. Signing up is easy. QOP YOUTH CLUB

Queen of Peace Adventure Youth Club is now 50 years old. This occasion was celebrated with a dinner and dance in the Esplanade Hotel. All past committees, members, and friends of the club were thanked for assisting the club to continue and to arrive to this age. There will be vacancies for new members immediatel­y in the New Year. DIVING CLUB.

Recently Bray Divers have taken advantage of the mild weather to organise night diving. Four were arranged in Greystones, and the wild life encountere­d was amazing. It included squat lobsters, octopus, shrimps, and many more creatures that come out at night time. New members are welcome and training courses will commence later this month. Call Albert at 087 6756439, and you could be a diver before Christmas.

SEACREST RESIDENTS

Litter bags are available to Seacrest residents who wish to help keep the area ttidy. They can be left for collection at the top of the estate. The residents’ associatio­n thanks all who regularly pick up litter.
