Two Londis retailers receive top honours at awards night
TWO Londis retailers in county Wicklow have received top honours at this years Londis Retailing Awards 2017, which took place in Powerscourt Hotel, Wicklow.
This year 85 businesses received an award including Byrne’s Londis Aughrim, who were recognised as Londis Foodmarket Store of the Year and received a Londis Excellence Award. Byrne’s Londis Carnew were also presented with a Londis Standard Award.
Peter Byrne from Byrne’s Londis Aughrim said they are thrilled to receive these awards as it is a testament to the extremely hard working team they have in the store.
To win this award the stores were examined across a range of criteria, including customer service, the quality of their fresh food, product range and the stores hygiene and food safety.
Special guest speakers included Conor O’Shea, the Head Coach of Italian National Rugby Team, Davy Fitzgerald, current Manager of Wexford Hurling Team, Stephanie Roche, Irish International Football Player and well-known chef Catherine Fulvio.
