GAA CLUB NOTES

The seniors had a good win finishing on a good margin in a challenge game against St Anne’s at home last Friday. Let’s hope they continue this on into Fridays Keating trophy game against Annacurra in Rathnew, throw in scheduled for 8 p.m. but please check fixtures.

Newtown’s juvenile presentation will be taking place when all our teams have finished out their season we have no date yet as the under-13s are still playing, but it will be around mid-November.

Well done to Pearce Gaels, who beat Éire Óg in the semi-final of the under-17 B championship recently in Newtown, the final is against Rathnew and was to be played last night. Best of luck to all in the final especially our own large contingent.

As another season comes to a close we can look back on a decent year on the juvenile front as we have won three trophies which include two div two leagues and an A shield and the numbers at our Cúl Camps were up massively on last year; well done and a big thanks to all our juvenile chairman, managers, mentors, helpers etc. who put in Trojan work and plenty of hour’s over the season, we just couldn’t function without you all.

Don’t like to mention the Christmas word but it will soon be upon us so if you want to buy Newtown GAA merchandise get
