Loreto girls get together 45 years after finishing school
The women of Loreto’s class of 1972 got together at the Ocean restaurant last Friday evening.
This was on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of their finishing school.
The women also had dinner in Ocean last year, and would really like to make it an annual tradition.
They also got together some years ago for a 20th anniversary, and another one in between.
Around 17 of them attended the event, which was held in the private function room at Ocean.
One of them travelled all the way from Galway, with the remainder having remained in Bray, Wicklow or south Dublin.
They enjoyed catching up on all the news and reminiscing about their school days.
Organiser Julia Hennessey, who was O’Meara in her school days, said that the staff looked after them very well and the food was excellent.
Her friends presented her with flowers during the evening, as a thank-you for arranging such an enjoyable event.
