Megan Cronin lead the way for an away victory for Powerscourt Arms Dart team last Tuesday in Ballaly. Last night the team were at home to magic Carpet who seem to have a hodoo over the locals that was lifted in a preseason win at home in Enniskerry.
SOCCER DRAW
On a very wet night on Berry field Enniskerry YC were held to a 2-2 draw against Pioneer Soccer Club in wet conditions. Other games due to be played on public pitches were called off.

Masses are offered for those whose names are on the Altar List of the Dead on the First Friday of each month.
Annual Mass for the Deceased: For those whose Funer- al Masses took place in the four churches of our parish this year, this Mass will take place on Friday, November 10, at 7.30 p.m. in St Mary’s Parish Church. All parishioners are welcome to come along and pray for our neighbours and friends. If you have a family member or a friend who died outside our parish this year and you would like to have them remembered at this Mass please contact the Parish office.
Monthly Rosary Group: Meets on the first Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Prayer Room in St Mary’s Church.

Organised by Curtlestown parents’ association, this concert of classical music of Haydn, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, and Piazzolla, takes place by candlelight at 7.30 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, in the intimate setting of St Patrick’s Church, Curtlestown, performed by Catherina Lemoni – piano, David O’Doherty – violin, Moya O’Grady – cello, and with very special guests St Patrick’s National School Choir. The next meeting of the Enniskerry History Society takes place on Thursday, November 9, at 8.30 p.m. in the Powerscourt Arms and Country House Hotel, Enniskerry Village at which Rob Goodbody will present his lecture ‘The Martello Towers of the Dublin Coastline.’ Built in the early 1800s to warn the authorities in Dublin of an approaching French invasion force, which could only land on Killiney Beach as this was only one suitable to land an invasion force on, these structures, most of which still survive, extended from Bray to Sandymount. All welcome – admission €5.

STRICTLY COME DANCING
St Catherine’s Special School, Newcastle are hosting a Strictly Come Dancing night on Saturday, November 11, in Fitzpatrick’s Castle Hotel Killiney, Co. Dublin. We are fundraising for some much needed playground equipment for the kiddies and all donations big or small would be greatly received. We have some local Enniskerry residents who very bravely took on the challenge and are flat out rehearsing at the moment for the big event.
