Light Up Avoca will be selling raffle tickets at Avoca Recycling Centre on Saturday, October 28. Please support so we can light up avoca this Christmas. Tea or coffee and loads of goodies available on the day.

SHOEBOX APPEAL
Like to give a little joy and love to a needy child this Christmas? Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal gift does just that. We here at the Avoca Courthouse are hoping to get a few boxes to send over, all you have to do is choose a boy or a girl, age group 2-4, 5-9 or 10 to 14 years old, get your shoe box wrapped (box and lid separately).
To get your box to your chosen child please include €4 in an envelope taped to inside of your lid. Items allowed are – items for school pens, books etc – wash items soap, tooth brush and paste etc NO liquid – small clothing items hat, scarf, socks etc and don’t forget a treat toys, games, teddy, small torch or Maybe some sweets.
If anyone would like any more information or interested in sending a box call into Avoca Courthouse. Closing Date to get your finished shoeboxes back to us is Thursday, November 9 at 4 p.m. Every child deserves a gift at Christmas.
RECYCLING CENTRE
The household hazardous waste collection will take place at the Avoca Recycling Centre on Saturday, October 28, from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. only. Bring along your old paints solvents pesticides adhesives caustic sodas drain cleaners detergents oven cleaners inks and resins etc to the above collection. NOTE.
