DRAMA SCHOOL TO BRING AUDIENCE TO WONDERLAND

-

The intriguing story of Alice in Wonderland will be brought to the stage this week by the Murphy Academy of Drama (MAD Drama School).

Run by KathyAnn Murphy, the group rehearses at Arklow Dance Studios and is proud to present its latest show, and first major production, at Gorey Little Theatre on November 3 and 4 at 8 p.m. nightly.

KathyAnn (22) directs the show which stars Erinn Clare as the real Alice Liddell for which Lewis Carroll originally wrote ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’.

As Alice follows the White Rabbit (played by Brianna Byrne) down the magical rabbit hole, the audience will be trans- ported to wonderland to meet all the memorable characters, including Cheshire Cat and the Mad Hatter.

This is a hugely colourful and magical show which will delight both young and old.

Although in its infancy, MAD Drama School has over 30 students ranging in age from six to 14 years.

The school has already gone from strength to strength, picking up awards at the Arklow Music Festival, performing its first showcase and coming second in Gorey’s Got Talent.

Tickets are €10 for adults and €7 for children.

Family tickets are also available. For more information and booking, text 086 3981103.
