28-year-old to be sentenced in January for incident at Old Court Park last year
A 28-year-old Wicklow man has admitted that he attempted to murder another man in the county last year.
Eoghan O’Connell of Dargle Heights, Bray, was arraigned before the Central Criminal Court on Friday morning last, charged with attempting to murder Clinton McCormack.
Dressed in navy sweatshirt and tracksuit bottoms, he stood and pleaded guilty to carrying out the offence on April 8, 2016, at Old Court Park in Bray.
Michael O’Higgins SC, defending, asked the court for time to obtain a psychological report for his client. He also asked for a governor’s report.
Mr Justice Patrick McCarthy remanded O’Connell in custody until January 29 next and directed the preparation of a victim impact report.
