Seven cars involved in early-morning collision
A MAN had to be cut from his car after a seven car pile-up near Newtownmountkennedy on Monday.
The collision caused major disruptions for commuters as part of the N11 was closed off for over two hours.
The incident occurred at 6.45 a.m. on Monday morning on the northbound carriage of the N11, shortly before Junction 12 at Newtownmountkennedy.
A man in his forties had to be cut from his vehicle and was transported to St Vincent’s Hospital. His injuries aren’t considered life threatening.
Traffic was diverted at Junction 13 Newcastle before the closed off section of the road was reopened close to 9 a.m.
