SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

Congratulations to the following students of the class of 2017 on being awarded UCD Entrance Scholarship Awards – Christopher Finnegan, Conor Furlong, Sadhbh McCarthy, Isabelle Marsh, William Moore and James Peters. The UCD Entrance Scholars are first Year students recognised for their academic achievement of having achieved 560 Points or more in their Leaving Certificate. Congratulations to all of the students, their parents and their teachers on yet another outstanding academic achievement for St Gerard’s.

TCD AWARDS

Congratulations also to the following students of the class of 2017 on receiving an Entrance Exhibition Awards from Trinity College, Dublin, as a result of their exceptional performance in their Leaving Certificate examinations 2017 – Alannah Crowley, Gavin Dowd, Isabelle O’Brien, Killian Beashel, Max Freeney and Susan McParland.

The Entrance Exhibitions are awarded to first Year students who achieved a minimum of 560 Points in the Leaving Certificate Examinations. Congratulations to the above students on their remarkable academic achievements to date and thank you to all of their teachers who provided the wonderful educational opportunities for them over their six years in St Gerard’s School.

SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY

Congratulations to all athletes who took part in the County Wicklow Cross Country Race, hosted by St Gerard’s School, on Tuesday, November 7. St Gerard’s performed excellently with the first Year girls, second Year boys and Transition Year boys’ teams winning best school in their respective age groups. The second year boys placed third overall in the event. A memorable day for all concerned.

EQUESTRIAN

Many congratulations to sixth year Mark Finnerty on his wonderful performance at the Millstreet Show Jumping Competition where he attained first Place in the 120cm Young Rider Category and sixth Place in the 130cm Young Rider Category. Well done.
