The final outing for the Plucks Golf Society members took place in Powerscourt Golf Club last Saturday. Despite the heavy overnight rain, the course was in fantastic condition (well done greenkeepers) and it certainly suited that old golfing warrior himself Paddy ‘Bounty’ Byrne, who shot a fantastic 45 points. Kevin Molloy was second with 39 points while John Lyster took third spot with 38 points. Paul Murphy won Category 1 (38 points), Eddie Byrne won Category 2 (34 points) and Ray Lyster won Category 3 (31 points) with Coli Griffiths winning the Front Nine Prize (19 points) while Bobby Messett won the Back Nine (17 points). The two nearest the Pin winners were Paul Murphy and Ed Mulligan with Paul also hitting the Longest Drive.

As this was the last outing of the year, all golfers would like to thank the fantastic committee for all their hard work in organising these seven outings and to thank the outgoing captain Gerry ‘Squirrel’ Touhy for a great year. Massive thanks also to Helen and Nick of Plucks for their wonderful support throughout the year and all look forward to the 2018 lead by incoming Captain Paddy ‘Whackers’ Byrne.
