EXHIBITION OF SCULPTURES ENDS FRIDAY

THE CURTAIN will come down on an exhibition of sculpture currently on display at Arklow Visual Arts Centre this Friday, November 24.

‘John and Jimmy: Heroes of Old Men and Men of Renown’ was created by Neil McAteer to offer reflections and shadows of memories of the ‘giants’ in each individual’s life – the giants that guide with a gentle hand and the love of pure light, and give memories of joy that last an eternity.

Co Antrim native Neil McAteer has been resident in Wicklow since 1991. He uses the media of marble and ceramics to create his sculptures and is self-taught in both disciplines. McAteer started with marble sculpture in his early twenties and started incorporating ceramics about five years ago.
