Players serve up a treat for crowd

TENNIS SHANKILL INDOOR TOURNAMENT

IRELAND’S best tennis players competed in the inaugural Shankill Indoor Tennis Tournament last weekend.

The stunning new three-court indoor facility, which opened in June 2016, comfortabl­y accommodat­ed the large number of members, visitors, sponsors and dignitarie­s who gathered to watch some of the 65 tennis singles matches played.

A second tournament weekend takes place on November 24-26, with graded mens and ladies doubles events.
