David McWilliams is bound to enrage rural viewers this week as he pronounces that the economic future of Ireland is urban. He argues that proper investment in cities like Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway has been blocked by the rural lobby, and what he calls the ‘Sunday Game approach’ to planning. David reckons Dublins acts as a kind of ATM for the rest of the country, and he also talks about ‘Applegreen Land’, Ireland’s ‘surbubs on steroids’.
