Enniskerry Christmas crackers!

CHRISTMAS kicks off this week in Enniskerry with the lights going on, festive bingo, and other activities.

This Sunday, December 3, the Enniskerry Traders Association have put together a wonderful line up of free events, including the obligatory face painting.

The lighting of the village tree lights will take place at 5 p.m., with a free visit to Santa essential. This is not weather dependant as Santa will be cosy and warm in front of his fire resting in his grotto in the Schoolhouse for Art.

A Christmas Bingo Bonanza is being held in the Powerscourt Arms Hotel from 3.30 p.m. and there is a €5 cost per bingo booklet.

Bingo prizes include a free range turkey, tickets for Niall Horan and Taylor Swift, vouchers for local shops and for Penneys and Avoca, and more.

All the shops in the area will be open until 7 p.m. so there will be an opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping.
