Learners get recognition for hard work
THE Sunbeam House services celebrated the QQI (Quality & Qualification Ireland) and OCR (Oxford, Cambridge & RSA) awards ceremony in the Royal Hotel, Bray last Thursday.
Over the past two years learners worked hard on a variety of courses and this was a night of recognition and celebration for the hard work and dedication shown by students and tutors.
As well as in-house training there is also SHS facilitated Crossroads classes funded through Genio and VEC supports. These courses enable people of all learning abilities to achieve certificates in subjects they have an interest in and allow better opportunities to secure work in their chosen field. Participating in these courses helps to build confidence, encourages social connections and develops skills that can be used in everyday life.
Organisers thanked presenters Florence and Gerard as well as all the staff who worked tirelessly on the course work and organising a great night.
DJ Gerry Byrne provided an evening of lively entertainment.
Learners worked hard to receive 64 certificates and two full general learning certificates.
