AS THE TOMMY BYRNE PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY PREPARES FOR ITS UPCOMING SHOW DEBORAH COLEMAN REPORTS

-

IN excess of 50 new photographs are to be exhibited by the members of the Tommy Byrne Photographic Society (TBPS) at their upcoming show at Arklow Library.

The new exhibition will be officially launched on Tuesday, December 5 by Arklow’s own Olympic gold medallist Ronnie Delany at an opening event which runs from 6 - 8 p.m.

The photos are varied in them with everything from maritime scenes to nature, landscape, wildlife, portrait, black and white and night time shots.

TPBS members have been working on their exhibits for most of the past year and the exhibition itself has been the focus of much preparation and planning.

Indeed securing legendary athlete Ronnie Delany for the grand opening is a coup and he himself is certain to attract quite a number of spectators.

The exhibition will run from Saturday, December 2 to Friday, December 15.

Admission is free but on the launch night, a draw will take place in aid of Arklow RNLI.

All are welcome and the TBPS members are looking forward to unveiling their works to their local community in the beautiful surroundings of Arklow Library.
