Blessington beat Scoil Chonglais in qualifier

-

LEINSTER JUNIOR FOOTBALL ‘D’ QUALIFIER - The Wicklow qualifier is divided into two sections with the winner of each meeting for a place in the South Leinster semi-final.

In section 1, Blessington CC had a 4-7 to 2-9 win over Scoil Chonglais Baltinglass to top the group.

The other section is finely balanced and will all depend on the result of the game between Avondale CC and Coláiste Chraobh Abhann. If the Kilcoole school wins this one three teams will finish level on points and the qualifier will be decided by scoring difference. The third school involved is Coláiste Chill Mhantain who scored a 5-9 to 3-6 win over Chraobh Abhann on Friday.

LEINSTER SENIOR FOOTBALL ‘C’ - Coláiste Chill Mhantain proved too strong for Gaelcholáiste na Mara here. Despite playing against a strong wind CCM led by 10-02 to 2-03 at half-time and went on to win by 10-10 to 4-4 with good displays by Jack Healy, Jack Dunne, Ciaran Coffey, Luke Corcoran, Ronan Murray and Garry Hughes.
