President Higgins takes in the sights on stroll along Cliff Walk
The President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins, took a stroll along the Cliff Walk last Sunday afternoon.
There was much excitement in Bray and Greystones at the appearance of the first citizen of the land.
He had a coffee in Finbees in Bray, before making his way to Greystones for lunch in the Happy Pear.
It seems Mr Higgins was in good form, and was happy to chat with those who approached him to say hello.
‘I thought I was seeing things,’ remarked one woman who passed him on the scenic route across Bray Head.
While some tackle the seven-kilometre route with walking boots and alpine sticks, the president wore formal attire for the occasion - a three-piece suit. He also wore a delightfully festive tie for the month that’s in it.
The folks over at The Happy Pear said that it was an honour to welcome Michael D to their restaurant on Sunday.
