Get down with that sort of thing at Fr Ted comedy night

A Father Ted night will take place at Whale Theatre in Greystones on Friday, December 8.

Two of the show’s finest guest stars will perform on the night.

Joe Rooney played Dougal’s rebel pal Father Damien Lennon in the Old Grey Whistle Theft episode, and the towering Pat McDonnell was the Daniel O’Donnell-esque Eoin McLove in Night Of The Nearly Dead. On the night, organisers will be revealing the winner of our Loveliest Father Ted Episode Ever poll, and they will also have a special discount on the night for any priests, nuns, tea ladies or Bishop Brennans. The Whale’s trademark cocktail The Whaletail will be available to anyone in fancy dress for €6 instead of €8. THIS Thursday, December 7, James Scannell from the Bray Cualann Historical Society will present his talk recalling ‘Christmas 1942 in Bray’ at 11.30 a.m. in Ballywaltrim Library, Boghall Road, Bray.

The following day, Friday December 8, James will present the talk at 11.30 a.m in Bray Library, Eglinton Road. Admission is free.
